Cherry syrup melting on the top of my banana sundae, wiggly frosting dancing on the strawberry birthday cake, leftover baguettes, oden taking a hot bath in the grids. On plaid tables, one bite after another, I found those sleeping memories popping out, no longer obscured.
Plaid Time is a mixed-media installation elaborating self-portraits through the process of eating. Eating, as a private experience, allowed the formation of intimate space and intersection of memories and emotions. Like plaid, memories on the table converge and transform into abstract miniatures created from materials collected within my spare time in Taipei. Integrating multiple uses of hand such as painting, shaping, mark-making, and hand sewing are ways to refer to the multisensory experience with eating.

淋上酒紅櫻桃醬的香蕉船聖代坐在透著藍色光芒的玻璃碗中，雙層草莓蛋糕上有彎曲擠花，懶在地上的法國麵包，一格格的關東煮們，在格紋餐桌上，一口又一口，拋在腦後的記憶就這樣不聽使喚的閃爍起來，微微顫抖。
進食似乎形成了我一部分的私人空間，以親手縫製的抽象形狀、拼貼、複合媒材去展現那些無法言語的記憶情緒。如同格紋拼接縱橫交錯，各種食物勾起的瞬間使人著迷。
就像收藏回憶一般，使用的媒材皆是日常收集許久的布料及小物。
